How to use video schema markup
Video schema (the VideoObject type) is structured data that describes a video on your page. When Google finds valid VideoObject JSON-LD, it can display a video rich result in Search — showing the thumbnail, title, duration and publish date — which significantly increases your click-through rate for video content.
This free video schema generator builds the markup live as you type. The four required fields are name, description, thumbnailUrl and uploadDate. Adding contentUrl or embedUrl makes the video indexable by Google and eligible for the video carousel. When the output shows “Valid”, copy the <script> tag and paste it into the <head> of the page that contains the video.
